Introduction

Long Beach offers a wide variety of housing options, but affordability remains a top concern for students. With the right strategies, CSULB students can balance budget and lifestyle.

Tips for Students

  1. Look east of campus – Areas like Los Altos often have more budget-friendly rentals.

  2. Beach vs. budget – Living closer to downtown or the beach comes at a cost; consider inland for savings.

  3. Shared apartments – Splitting a 2B2B is often cheaper than a solo studio.

  4. Check for campus connections – CSULB housing boards frequently list student-only rentals.

ConclusionAffordable housing near CSULB is possible with flexibility and roommates. Prioritizing needs over wants can make Long Beach living more budget-friendly.
